Access Restrictions

Entrance to the law library outside of the supported circulation service hours is restricted to Texas A&M University School of Law faculty, students, and alumni; bar studiers from other law schools; and members of the State Bar of Texas. Faculty, staff, and students must use their law school ID cards to enter the library outside of supported circulation service hours. Members of the State Bar of Texas may present their bar cards to gain entry to the library outside of supported circulation service hours. Patrons without a State Bar of Texas card or law school ID must conduct library business between 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

"Closed to Public" Access Policy

"Closed to Public" means entrance to the Law Library is restricted to members of the Texas A&M School of Law community, State Bar of Texas members, and bar studiers from other law schools. Faculty, students, bar studiers, and staff of the law school must use their law school ID cards to enter. State Bar of Texas members must show their Texas bar card to enter the building. School of Law alumni who are not members of the State Bar of Texas must demonstrate proof of alumni status to enter the building.

November 18 – January 4 Closed to the Public - Exam Period & Winter Break. However, during the Exam Period, the library remains open to current TAMU law students, former students & alumni; bar studiers from other law schools; and State Bar of Texas cardholders.
November 26 Closed: Thanksgiving Holiday
November 27 No Service
December 12 - 18 No Service
December 19 - January 4 Closed: Winter Break

Spring 2027 Exceptions To Library Hours

January 17 Resume Regular Hours for Spring Semester
January 18 Closed: MLK Day Holiday
March 14 - 20 Spring Break - Service hours: 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
April 20 – May 9 Closed to Public - Reading & Exam period However, during the Reading & Exam Period the library is open to current TAMU law students, former students & alumni; bar studiers from other law schools; and State Bar of Texas card holders.
