A deep understanding of the laws and policies behind intellectual property (IP) is vital in today’s global economy. From technology to television and art to agriculture, intellectual property law propels and protects innovation, creativity, and design. For attorneys who routinely serve clients with their intellectual property needs or craft IP or technology policies, our LLM degree will prepare you to navigate the complexities of the IP law landscape.

The IP LLM degree is designed for students who already hold a JD degree from a U.S. law school or a first law degree from a non-U.S. law school.

Intellectual Property LLM Curriculum

Our innovative, carefully designed IP curriculum features both foundational and advanced classes, encompassing a wide array of IP topics. Each course has been designed by professors who have extensive experience in IP education and practice, ensuring you’re getting the most up-to-date information and techniques.

The Master of Laws in Intellectual Property is a 24-credit-hour program. Candidates can enroll in as few as two courses per semester to complete the degree in two years, or they can enroll full- time to complete the degree in one year. You’ll also have the flexibility as to how many courses to enroll in each semester, subject to university rules.
