What Is the Structural Constitution?

The Center focuses on the organization, power, and interactions of the governmental institutions created or presupposed by the Constitution—including through the study of federalism, the separation of powers, and the role of the administrative state.

What Does the Center Do?

With home bases in Texas and Washington, D.C., the Center provides a wide range of programming and research support. Activities include hosting academic conferences and symposia to help develop leading scholarship; providing educational and professional opportunities for students; and connecting the legal, scholarly, and policymaking communities. In all its work, the Center emphasizes the importance of civic engagement to democratic self-government and seeks to bring people of different perspectives together to learn from one another.
