What does your path to success look like?
The summer before starting my 3L year at Texas A&M Law, I participated in the Externship Program and spent my time interning with the Federal Public Defender’s Office in Fort Worth. To say that the externship program altered the trajectory of my career would be an understatement. I knew I was interested in criminal defense work, but the program helped to foster my understanding of the clients, the cases, and the law in the federal system. The attorneys in the office fought for their clients despite the odds and I knew I wanted to be a part of that fight one day.
