​Researching E.U. Laws

One of the assignments I was given was to conduct legal research regarding the requirements the European Union imposes on companies who wish to sell their products in their markets.

Coming into this internship, I knew I would be faced with other foreign laws since I was dealing with an international company but I did not realize the amount of foreign laws Kobelco faced on a daily basis.

In order to sell their products in any market, they constantly need to verify they are in full compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Whenever they have doubts about the legal requirements within a jurisdiction, they obtain counsel in that particular country that can assist them with understanding and complying with all applicable laws.
