Texas A&M University School of Law JD candidate, Evelyn Hernandez '18, spent six weeks in late June to early August 2017 interning in the Legal and Internal Audit Department of Kobelco Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. in Tokyo, Japan. While there, Evelyn worked with the legal and internal audit team to improve global compliance education materials, to review distributorship contracts, and to conduct research on issues of product and environmental safety. While in Tokyo, Evelyn even had the opportunity to do some teaching and conducted a session on “consideration” for staff colleagues.

Evelyn’s placement is one of Texas A&M University School of Law’s international ​internships and was arranged through the School of Law’s Global Lawyering Program and Office of Career Services.
