On September 12, 2018, Texas A&M School of Law Professor Lynne Rambo was awarded the 2018 Distinguished Achievement Award​ - College Level from the Association of Former Students of Texas A&M University.

The award is given to educators who exemplify the meaning of teach/mentor in the highest sense.

In a letter from a former law student, the student writes that Professor Rambo is the type of lawyer she aspires to be.
