HOTELS AND TRANSPORTATION
Airports
Texas A&M University School of Law is located in downtown Fort Worth, Texas, just 30 minutes from the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW). The second largest airport in the United States, DFW has direct flights to over 200 locations around the world and is a hub for American Airlines (AA). The Dallas Love Field Airport (DAL), about 40 minutes from the Law School, is a hub for Southwest Airlines (SWA).
Hotels
Next door to the Law School is Sheraton Fort Worth Downtown Hotel, at which we have reserved a block of hotel rooms for conference participants at a rate of $149 plus tax per night. Please click here to access the Sheraton room block reservation.
Other downtown Fort Worth hotel options include Omni Fort Worth Hotel, Hilton Fort Worth (formerly the historic Hotel Texas), several Marriott properties (including Courtyard Fort Worth/Blackstone) and the Ashton Hotel. Please note that we do not have room blocks at these hotels.
Directly across the street from the Law School and the conference hotel are the Fort Worth Water Gardens, a wonderful space described as “an architectural and engineering marvel” with dynamic pools of water creating a peaceful and contemplative environment that participants could enjoy during a break from the conference. Starbucks Coffee is located at the Omni Hotel, just one block away from the Law School.
Transportation
All downtown hotels are within walking distance of the Law School. So, there is no need for a rental car or other transportation between the Law School and the hotel.
"Molly the Trolley" offers free trolley routes throughout downtown Fort Worth and picks up directly in front of the Sheraton Hotel, as well as most other downtown hotels.
The Sheraton Hotel does not offer a shuttle from the airport, but ground transportation options, such as taxi, SuperShuttle, shared ride (Uber, Lyft, etc.) and rental cars, are available.
Parking
Free parking for conference attendees is available in the Law School parking lots. For parking permission, please contact Ms. Deborah Barnett, Senior Administrative Coordinator of Events, at dbarnett@law.tamu.edu.
